The Border

Zokhawthar is a village in the Champhai district of Mizoram, India, on the Indo-Burma border. On the Myanmar side is Rihkhawdar village accessible via a bridge built over the Harhva also known as Tio river. Like many border towns, Rihkhawdar boasts a fascinating dynamic of organized, cross-boundaries chaos and diverse, multilingual residents, many of whom are of Indian or Chinese descent.
