Draft Itinerary

Day 01:Arrive Kawthaung, transfer to jetty, embark to one of the pre-booked cruise to be departed to 115 and Kyun Phila (Great Swanton Islands). Today activities include Sea kayaking, Snorkeling, Jungle trekking. You might possible encounter with Moken House-Boat traveling in the area.

Day 02:Proceed to Bo Cho (Punala Island) and later continue to Makyone Galet, where you can explore Salone (Moken) village for social interaction. Enjoy swimming and sun bathing on the beach.

Day 03:Proceed to Crocodile River - one of the main river stretched along into the Lampi Island. Enjoy kayaking while observe mangrove forest, watch birds. Later further travel to Salet Galet and trek to “West Peak” and enjoy the natural view of the Island.

Day 04:Proceed to Marble Island and enjoy cave kayaking when the tide ebb. Watch Swiftlets Dwelling (Bird Nest) on rock forming numeral shapes. Later stop over at Kyat Chaung village and visit long-legged floating houses and monastery.

Day 05:Proceed to Daung Kyun and visit more of Salone communities. Observe tradition and lifestyle of Salone.

Day 06:Heading back to Myeik and transfer to hotel.

Day 07:Sightseeing tour of Myeik including visit to market, Swiftlets dwelling houses and Shipyard. When time comes transfer to airport to departure to Yangon

Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Kawthaung – 115 Island - Kyun Phila

Arrive Kawthaung, pick up and transfer to jetty and board on pre-booked cruise. Set sail for 115 Island. Along the way you enjoy sea kayaking, snorkeling, Jungle walk swimming and sunbathing on the beach. When the tide ebbs, you can actually enter into cave nearby. Afternoon continue sail to Kyun Phila (Great Swanton Island), considered to be the best place for snorkeling. You might come across one of the Moken House-Boats passes by. Dinner and overnight on board or tent on beach.
Depend on flight arrival time, 1st overnight destination would be subjected to change.

Day 02: Kyun Phila (Great Swanton Island) - Makyone Galet

Breakfast and we proceed to Bo Cho (Punala Island) and enjoy Kayaking near the Island. Afternoon continue sail to Makyone Galet, where we can take a walk around Salone (Moken) village and later swimming, fishing and sunbathing on the beach nearby. Dinner and overnight on board or community accommodation at Makyone Galet village.

Day 03: Lampi Island (Makyone Galet) - Salet Galet

Breakfast and we proceed to Crocodile River, one of the main river stretched about 3 miles long into the Lampi Island. We do Kayaking and enjoy mangrove forests, singing birds, sea eagle from the river. As usual we can do our daily activities such as swimming, fishing and later travel further south to Salet Galet, where you can trek to West Peak at 385 meter high from sea, which would give us a great opportunity to enjoy the natural view of the Island. Dinner and overnight on board or community villages.

Day 04: Lampi (Salet Galet) - Marble Island-Kyat Chaung Village

Breakfast and we proceed to Marble Island, where we experience cave kayaking when the tide ebb and watch Swiftlets (Bird Nest) dwelling and the numerous formation of rocks like Banyan tree, Elephant and Bottle. There has been the case that people encounter group of Dolphins in the area. After lunch, we travel to Kyat Chaung Village and walk around the village and visit floating houses and local monastery. Dinner and overnight on board or community center in the village.

Day 05: Kyatchaung Village – Daung Island

Breakfast and we proceed to Daung Island where we walk local Salone (Moken) village where we observe tradition and lifestyle of Salone boat races at the west of this Island. Dinner and overnight on board or at community center.

Day 06: Daung Island -Myeik

Breakfast and we travel back to Myeik and transfer to hotel. Overnight in Myeik.

Day 07: Myeik - Yangon

Breakfast and sightseeing tour of Myeik including a visit to market, Swiftlets dwelling house and Kywe Kuu Shipyard. When time comes transfer to airport for your departure flight to Yangon to conclude this unique experience.

How to Book:

 Deposit and payment:

A deposit of 30% of your trip cost per person is require to secure your booking. The balance will need to be settled 15 day before commence of trek. Bookings made within 15 days must be paid in full at the time of booking.

 Validity:

Prices quoted are net basis and valid according to the date specified on the printed tariffs, quotation, invoice etc. Myanmar Hill lodges (Myanmar Highland Eco-adventures) warrants that the prices or rates quoted are correct at the time of issuance but are subject to change in line with market, tax or currency fluctuation.

Cancellations and refunds:

All cancellations must be advised in writing and are accepted from the date the written confirmation is received and applied cancellation as below.

15 days before trip date: you will lose your deposit
7 days and less before the trip date: 50% of the total cost per person
If reservations are cancelled (or) no-show: no refunds will be made

 Amendments of trek:

If the change is minor we will endeavor to make the change at no further cost to you. If the change requires more work than we impose you an appropriate charge ask you to pay the charge before we action the change. Please note we may not be able to accommodate your request during “high occupation period”. In such case we will not be responsible for any lost or additional costs incurred. Should trip be canceled after deposit cancellation fee may applies.

Grouping:

There is no limitation on the group size on this program, however Myanmar Hill Lodges (Myanmar Highland Eco-adventures) reserves the right to combine in order to form a decent group on same departure.

Un-used service:

No refunds will be considered any unused service after commencement of the trek regardless of the reason whatsoever.

Checklist

Baggage:

Your day pack should be a medium volume which can hold your personal belonging such as medication, camera, extra clothes, water etc.

Clothing:

Lightweight long sleeved pants and shirt are useful as sunscreen and insect protection. A windshield is ideal as it will keep you warm and dry in a variety of situations.

Foot ware:

Lightweight hiking boots or good quality running shoes are ideal for the trek. A pair of thongs are ideal for walking in the wet surfaces. It is essential your walking boots be comfortable and broken-in.

Personal items

Such as water bottle, a pocketknife, reading and writing material and personal first aid kit would be essential for your convenience.

Protection from weather:

A pair of sun glass and hat is essential for your protection from sun. You will also need some sun screen to protect against sunburn.

Protection against insect bite:

It’s important to keep insect repellent to keep the insects away.

FAQ

What will be the temperature like?

Our season is between November and April. During winter (Nov-February) mostly clear skies, cool in the morning but warm. During summer (March-April) weather get warmer and sticky yet pleasant during morning and evenings.

What can I do during my visit?

The ASEAN Heritage Park, covering a group of islands is unique for its evergreen and Mangrove forests, beaches and dunes, coral reefs, sea grass and its rich biodiversity, with over 1000 recorded species.

Activities include, canoeing in the mangroves, hiking in the jungle, snorkeling and diving, village excursion and bird watching and cave exploring.

How fit do I have to be?

This program is graded as “Easy to Moderate” thus anyone who leads a moderately healthy lifestyle back home and is reasonably fit will be able to join in.

What about meal?

We take care of all catering on your visit. If you have a special dietary requirements then you will have to advise us at the time of booking.

What about guides?

We provide English or Myanmar language guide.

What about First aid?

Our guides are qualified in wilderness first aid, and carry a basic medical first aid kit.

Is there any age or health limit to participate?

This program is suitable to anyone with normal health and fitness condition. However older clients or clients with pre-existing medical conditions may require a doctor’s letter confirming their fitness for the trip. During your visit you are under the direction of your guide and he/she has total authority to determine your suitability to participate.
